FG Phelan & Company was established in 1980 by Mr. Fintan Phelan, Solicitor to provide legal services to the people of Swinford and its environs. The firm was purchased by Michael Smyth & Brendan Donnnelly in 2008 and has gone from strength to strength. FG Phelan & Company is an independent, owner-managed business which now represents a number of local companies and businesses and thousands of clients all over Ireland and Europe.
Our goal is to provide cost effective and efficient legal services to our clients. Michael Smyth B.A., L.L.B, L.L.M.
Michael Smyth who is a former Army Officer is the Managing Partner of the Practice. Admitted as a solicitor in 2005, he advises in the area of Residential and Commercial Property, Commercial and Company law as well as Wills & Estate Planning. He advises a wide variety of Commercial and Private Clients on a range of different issues.
Brendan Donnelly B.A., L.L.B.
Brendan Donnelly is a partner of the Practice. Admitted as a solicitor in 1994, he advises in the areas of Employment law, Family Law, Litigation and Debt Collection. He has a wealth of experience in Personal Injury Litigation and Family Law matters in particular. He is well known on the District Court Circuit in Mayo as a capable and confident Advocate.
